Baxter von Balge is a beautiful 2 year old Shepherd/Retriever mix. (best guess) We’ve found the ultimate people-pleaser in Baxter: good-looking, with a calm, easy, sweet personality. He’s a stylish dresser in his super-soft, fluffy coat, so pleasurable to the touch that you will want to pet him all over. That’s perfect, because it’s exactly what this lover boy wants too!  He knows his sit and give paw, and he takes treats gently. He may be house-trained. He’s an enthusiastic scholar who is happy and eager to learn and can’t wait for his next lesson. Baxter walks great on the leash, easily in the heel position.  On the walk, he’s bright and alert and enjoys the attention and petting offered by people he encounters along the way. He meets other dogs well and paces nicely in a pack with 6 other dogs. Baster enters play groups in a comfortable, friendly mood, ready to greet and mingle. He’s deft at avoiding the pushy types; he just walks away from them and finds better things to do.  We think you will be pleased to meet Baxter and he will most  certainly be pleased to meet you. Even the perfect guy has his quirks: Baxter is not a cat person.
